"ELOG notes that the results transmission system worked much better than expected with over 99% of scan images of the 34a and the 34b posted on the IEBC web portal. "We are here not at Bomas of Kenya, where the result is going to be announced, because of the opaque nature of how this phase has been handled," the vice chair Juliana Cherera said. Four of the seven electoral commissioners of Kenya's presidential election told journalists Monday they could not support the "opaque nature" of the final phase of the vote-verification process.

Observer group's parallel tally almost similar to IEBC results (The East African)

Elog has conducted parallel vote tabulations in the last two general elections with their tally results always consistent with the electoral body's.

In 2017, their PVT results were almost identical to the IEBC official results, but the Supreme Court nullified the elections on grounds that the poll agency had “committed irregularities and illegalities in the transmission of results.” Elog has conducted parallel vote tabulations in the last two general elections and the 2010 referendum, with their tally results always consistent with the electoral body’s, despite contestations of the results and subsequent petitions at the Supreme Court. The group also had 1,000 PVT observers who were “carefully recruited, specially trained and deployed to a nationally representative random sample of polling stations,” and independently did their separate tally on the election results.
