The union is open to negotiations on the number of days off for teachers, but demands that a salary agreement be signed first. Finance Minister Avigdor Lieberman acknowledged that the salaries of new teachers should increase, but also wants to increase the number of working days to help working parents of students. Commentary on Channel 12 news on Tuesday, a union spokesperson accused the finance ministry of wanting to raise some of the salaries of young teachers by cutting the salaries of senior teachers.
