Reopening of schools 2022

Displacement, the damage and destruction of educational facilities, and a lack of access to technology and internet connection have seriously affected students’ ability to learn and caused significant challenges to the reopening of schools (WB 28/05/2022). Five million school-aged children are estimated to be in need of educational support (OCHA 12/08/2022). Since the start of the Russian invasion in February 2022, conflict has affected an estimated 5.7 million school-aged children in Ukraine (ages 3–18) (MESU 02/07/2022).
