The Queen is under medical supervision at Balmoral Castle in Scotland, and royal family members are reportedly traveling there to be by her bedside.

The United Kingdom celebrated her 70 years on the throne with a [Platinum Jubilee](https://www.npr.org/2022/06/01/1102335388/queen-elizabeth-platinum-jubilee-great-britain-royal-family) in June. Elizabeth's health has been of concern in recent years, and more so over the summer. Elizabeth also missed the Braemar Gathering highland games earlier this month.

PM Truss forewarned that the whole country would be deeply concerned by the news due to being revealed around lunchtime (GMT+1).

“My thoughts – and the thoughts of people across our United Kingdom – are with Her Majesty The Queen and her family at this time,” she said. “The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral”, the palace said. Doctors expressed concern about the health of Britain's Queen Elizabeth and have recommended the 96-year-old monarch remains under medical supervision, according to Buckingham Palace’s Thursday statement.
