In all honesty, a very large part of me has absolutely no interest in Juventus' trip to Monza this afternoon, the Bianconeri's final game before the ...

Even though it’s Monza, it’s hard to think of Juventus running away with a win based on how they’re playing, who isn’t available to play in this one and the fact that so many players are just all out of sync right now. That’s not good, and hopefully it doesn’t get worse after the trip over to Lombardi this weekend. The thing is, that’s “problems” and not “problem” because there are multiple issues at this club being completely exposed right now even as they sat “just” four points off the Serie A lead entering the weekend. It’s all about what Juventus has done and how they’ve suddenly made a lot of us feel about the club’s immediate future — which is not very good at all considering it is, and I can’t stress this enough, the middle of September. Juventus is in the midst of a very sub-par 2022-23 season.
The Bianconeri have not had a great run so far in the league as they are currently placed in the eighth spot with 10 points from six matches. They have won just ...

He should be joined by his compatriot Filip Kostic and the returning Angel Di Maria. His assistant Marco Landucci will be the man in charge on the dugout. Even the tactician himself will be serving a one-match ban against Monza following his dismissal last weekend.
Massimiliano Allegri's Juventus are desperate to find a modicum of redemption in their Serie A clash against Monza this afternoon.

Former Juventus winger Palladino is promoted from the youth team role to be their coach. The pressure is growing on Allegri to deliver results and performances after a dismal start to the season, as while they had a last-gasp Arek Milik winner incorrectly disallowed by VAR against Salernitana, the fact they had to fight back from 2-0 down was enough to worry fans. Juventus are decimated and ring the changes as Max Allegri tries to emerge from this crisis against a Monza side making their debut under new coach Raffaele Palladino.

Juventus hope to get their tilt for the Serie A title back on track when they visit Monza hoping to improve on a recent run of one win from seven in all ...
Juventus are unbeaten in their first six league games of the current campaign but they have drawn four matches. Monza have lost their first three Serie A home games. Back come the leaders on the break, and Gytkjaer switches it wide to Colpani. His cross is half-cleared towards Rovella, whose volley from 22 yards is dragged wide! He goes down when attempting to shoot, with his appeals for a penalty convincing no-one. Sensi has a shot from the edge of the box blocked by Gatti, and the ball spills out to Augusto. Monza next travel to Sampdoria on Oct. It's been a decent start from the home side, who've seen more of the ball and had a couple of attempts already. What a statement goal that would've been! Vlahovic latches on to a ball over the top and smashes a left-footed half volley wide from a tight angle. Mota pulls a ball to the edge of the box where Ciurria arrives late and volleys not far wide of the post. Sensi finds space to shoot on the edge of the box and lets fly, but it's right down Perin's throat and the Juve keeper holds the bouncing ball!

Angel Di Maria has been sent off in the first half of Juventus' away match against Monza after lashing out at defender Armando Izzo.
Di Maria was playing through the pain in today’s match, gritting his teeth to try and help Juventus grind out a positive result, but things have not gone to plan. He is likely to get more than just a one-match suspension due to violent conduct. This was the Argentinian forward’s first red card since Nice’s 3-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain back in April 2017, when he saw red in the dying minutes of the match.
So here are our players ratings for the cagey yet historic affair between Monza and Juventus, which ended 1-0 in favor of the hosts.
Missed a chance to equalize as he headed the ball straight towards Di Gregorio. Similarly to his compatriot, the former Eintracht Frankfurt winger produced very little. Another day to forget for the former Fiorentina star. Still, he managed to pick up a teammate on some occasions, unlike some of Massimiliano Allegri’s other men. Created the team’s best chance with a precise cross towards Kean. Led a swift counter attack but made the wrong call by passing to Bremer. But still made some timely interceptions to prevent a more disastrous result. The former Inter star has all the skills in the world, but is only able to produce flashes of brilliance at the moment, probably due to his shaky physical condition. But his performance lacked a marquee moment. The right wingback came close to scoring on two occasions, but he eventually provided a superb assist for the winner. The Bianconeri still managed to make an already disastrous situation even worse by conceding their first league defeat of the campaign and gifting the Biancorossi their first ever Serie A win. Won the vast majority of his duels against Vlahovic.
Match report and player ratings for Juventus as Monza secure 1-0 win over Old Lady.
Manager: Massimiliano Allegri - 2/10 - Allegri wasn't the one on the pitch putting in such an abysmal performance, but he does coach and pick the players. [Danilo](https://www.90min.com/players/danilo-luiz-da-silva) - 4/10 - Didn't do enough to stop teasing crosses from being played from out wide. Starved of service, but fought tooth and nail for anything that came his way - which wasn't a lot. Perhaps a straight red was harsh, but Di Maria was asking for trouble. Dany Mota then worked his way into the box and got onto the end of a smart pass moments later, but flicked the ball marginally wide of the net. Outstanding hold-up play from Vlahovic saw him wrestled to the floor in order to create a rare, three-on-one counter attacking chance for his side after 68 minutes. Unfortunately, De Sciglio wasn't helped out by his teammates and had to sit in following Di Maria's sending off. Gianluca Caprari retrieved the ball on the edge of the box following Federico Gatti's poor pass after 50 minutes, but blasted the ball over. And while the visitors were able to venture forward somewhat more frequently, they constantly lacked any real quality or urgency. Suddenly, heading into the break goalless felt like a bonus for the Old Lady. A rare venture forward saw Dusan Vlahovic connect with a pass from Mattia De Sciglio after 28 minutes, but it was never beating goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio. Failure to put away big chances should've been the key to punishing an otherwise impressive Monza, but it wasn't.
