The Federal Government has declared Monday 10th October 2022 as a public holiday to mark this year's Eid-ul-Mawlid Celebration.

In a communique signed by the permanent secretary of the ministry, Shuaib Belgore, the government, congratulates all Muslims both at home and in the diaspora for witnessing this year’s celebration of the birth of the holy prophet Muhammad. “As the indisputable leader of our race, we must demonstrate responsible leadership in Africa.” Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, made the declaration on behalf of the federal government, yesterday in Abuja.
