NAIROBI, Kenya, Jan 10 – Regional low-cost airline, Jambojet is selling 1000 tickets at Sh1,000 to celebrate flying over 1 million passengers in 2022.

Karanja Ndegwa, MD, and CEO of Jambojet, had this to say, “Our target was to fly 917 thousand passengers in 2022. In 2021, the airline flew 730 thousand passengers, a slight increase from 2019. The airline, which in 2022 launched Jambojet Cargo, flies to Mombasa, Kisumu, Eldoret, Diani, Malindi and Goma in DRC from its primary hub in Nairobi, and to Kisumu, Eldoret and Lamu from its secondary hub in Mombasa.

Towards the end of last year, I had the privilege of joining Jambojet in distributing food to pupils at the Our Lady of Nazareth Primary School in Mukuru ...

This was after the school approached the budget airline with a request to fly their top students to Mombasa as a way of encouraging them. I have to say that driving through the slums and seeing some of the conditions that the people were living in made me get an appreciation for the little that I have. Towars the end of last year, I had the privilege of joining Jambojet in distributing food to pupils at the Our Lady of Nazareth Primary School deep in the Mukuru Kwa Njenga slums.
