However, the CS noted that seven counties recorded high gender disparity in favour of female candidates during the 2022 KCSE examinations. Announcing the 2022 KCSE results on Friday, CS Machogu said out of the 881, 416 candidates who sat for the exam, 443, 644 were male while 437, 772 were female representing 50.33% and 49.67% of the total candidature respectively.
