Juventus vs Lazio Picks and Predictions: Lazio Is Live at a Price (Covers.com)

Coppa Italia prediction, odds, and betting tips for Juventus vs Lazio on February 2. Coppa Italia free pick and game analysis.

The last five meetings between the two have seen at least three goals scored in each, with four goals being hit in three of those. Lazio have been involved in much more low-scoring affairs, with six of their last 10 seeing two or fewer scored. That said, there is solid value in both the draw and the Lazio moneyline given Juventus’ struggles of late. This is the eighth time these two have faced each other in the Coppa Italia, and Lazio has a 3-2-2 edge over the Old Lady. Ten of their 15 matches at home this season have been high-scoring as well, with three or more goals scored. Just one win in their last four has been paired with a 2-0 defeat at Monza and a 5-1 thrashing at the hands of Napoli. However, they’ve gone winless in their last two, including a shocking 2-0 defeat to Monza last weekend. Juventus fans haven’t been shy about booing their own players this season when they haven’t performed as expected, meaning this could be a less-imposing atmosphere than Lazio has been used to. A 1-1 draw with Fiorentina over the weekend was a disappointing result – ending a three-match winning streak – but they’ve lost just six times in all competitions this season, and haven’t lost in five straight. Their last match before the World Cup break was a trip to Turin, as they suffered a 3-0 defeat to Juventus. The return of forward Federico Chiesa has been a welcome one, and his goal against Monza helped put them through 2-1 in the Round of 16. The 15-point deduction levied upon them saw them drop like a rock, and they’ve been struggling since, as they now sit 30 points behind leading Napoli in the Serie A table.

Juventus are growing 'tired' with former Manchester United star Paul Pogba after a recurrence of his serious knee injury, reports in Italy claim.

Pogba allowed his contract with United to expire in the summer. "For this reason, Paul will not be able to join Juventus squad before the World Cup break nor the French national team in Qatar. Devastatingly, Pogba was ruled out of the World Cup, unable to help France as they lost a thrilling final against Argentina. He then re-signed with Juve, from whom United had brought him back to the club for £89m in 2016. Pogba is yet to play for the Serie A giants after suffering the long-term problem during pre-season. The 29-year-old appeared set to make his comeback from injury in Juve’s Coppa Italia clash with Lazio on Thursday.

Juventus vs Lazio : Lineups and LIVE updates (Goal.com)

Lazio will travel to Turin to take on crisis club Juventus, hoping to take advantage of their host's uncertainty.

While some of the major giants continue to sink around them, Lazio look to be capitalising. Allegri's men were unable to capitalise on a decent start and collapsed when the visitors seized an early lead. Any feeble hopes of a revival have been dented by their poor recent form, having won just once in their last four games across all competitions.

This has left the club 13th in the Serie A table, with Pogba looking unlikely to help much as it stands, to help them in the final months of the season. Juventus and Pogba are experiencing a diplomatic rupture that is difficult to heal as the signing has not worked and the player has destroyed the harmony in the locker room. There is anger over Pogba's initial refusal to go for knee surgery which has delayed his return, as well as some frustration over his social media presence while he hasn't played for the club Juventus are considering parting ways with Paul Pogba (left) as he is yet to play a minute under Massimiliano Allegri (right) since returning last summer due to an injury That is due to the fact that he has not played a minute for the Bianconeri due to a knee injury - only making his return to the bench as an unused substitute, during the club's shock 2-0 defeat by Monza at the weekend. While United fans rejoiced after getting rid of a player who despite his talent was unreliable, Juventus supporters are in despair as his return to the club has been even worse than how things went in his final seasons at Old Trafford.

[football](https://www.givemesport.com/football) news and rumours right here. While they would prefer to sell him to recoup some of the considerable wages they have paid out since the summer, Juve are said to be ready to allow Pogba to leave on a free transfer at the end of the season if necessary. [Per the Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-11705391/Juventus-considering-selling-terminating-Paul-Pogbas-contract.html), the club had already paid Pogba close to £3m by the end of 2022, despite him never actually playing a minute of competitive football for them. Fans of the club are also upset with Pogba’s lack of playing time, with many branding him selfish for initially refusing to have surgery on his injured knee in the hope of still being fit to represent France at the 2022 World Cup. A serious knee injury suffered during pre-season has meant that Pogba is yet to make his second debut for the club that he played for between 2012 and 2016 and Juventus chiefs are said to be running out of patience with the 29-year-old. The 2018 World Cup winner has currently missed a total of 27 games for the Serie A side since returning and that number is set to rise with this latest blow.
