The Public Service Commission invited applications for the position of Solicitor General on November 1, 2022. The Head of State said the nomination is in accordance with the Office of the Attorney-General Act and the Public Appointments, Parliamentary Approval, Act.

Mose, who ran for the Kitutu Masaba parliamentary seat during the 2022 General Elections as a candidate for the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party, previously held the seat after winning the 2017 polls under the Jubilee party.

He is currently the Managing Partner at M/S Mose, Mose, and Mose Advocates. He holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Law from Kenya School of Law and a Law Degree from the University of Nairobi. "In recognition of the unique role of the State Law Office in our Governance structure, and mindful of the mandate of the Solicitor General as the Deputy to the Principal Legal Adviser to the Government, the National Assembly is most kindly requested to consider the nomination on a priority basis," the letter reads in part.
