Nottingham Forest vs. Man City live score, updates, highlights and ... (Sporting News)

Manchester City claimed a huge win away to Premier League title rivals Arsenal in midweek. Can Pep Guardiola's men build on that result in another game on ...

— City came through their win at Arsenal unscathed and England star John Stones (hamstring) is their only absentee for this clash. Their absences account for two of five changes overall, with Joe Worrall, Felipe, Jack Colback, Jonjo Shelvey, and Danilo the men to come in. 2 hours from kickoff: Hello and welcome to the Sporting News' live coverage of Nottingham Forest vs. 1 hr 40 mins from kickoff: Well, well, well. I feel, I see many things, I speak to staff, see training, see personal issues of players with problems at home, maybe they are satisfied about a win or sad because they don’t play. “I cannot go to sleep or wake up in the morning, have something inside of me visualising what the opponent can do and think: ‘The normal thing is play the starting XI that 89% of the people around the world say is the best.’,” he said. Prior to this match, the Manchester City manager gave some fascinating insights with regards to his thought processes after the decision to field Bernardo Silva as a hybrid right-back against Arsenal raised eyebrows. 58 mins from kickoff: And here's the Forest team. The likes of Brennan Johnson and Morgan Gibbs-White will certainly have their eye on that area of the field. The crowd at the City Ground are close to the pitch and Pep Guardiola's squad are warming up at the end of the ground where the away fans are stationed. Even Erling Haaland put a couple wide until Phil Foden and Ilkay Gundogan stopped the fun by firing past backup goalkeeper Scott Carson.

Nottingham Forest vs Man City LIVE goal and score updates (Manchester Evening News)

Manchester City take on Forest in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon and you can follow for LIVE updates here.

It looks like Forest have put ex-Atletico man Felipe extremely close to Haaland, which is forcing the City striker wide to get a touch of the ball. The home crowd offered a bit of encouragement after the goal, but the City Ground feels a bit falter all of a sudden. He wouldn’t have gone looking for it earlier in the season, but is willing to now. Brennan Johnson and Morgan Gibbs-White are eyeing up Aymeric Laporte on the left of City’s back three, with Bernardo spending most of his time in midfield, or even on the right. The more City waste good openings, the more confidence Forest will get of nicking a goal and extending their unbeaten run here. The foul was actually outside of the box but Worral is lucky not have been given a second yellow. They’ve taken off two defensive midfielders, and added another attacker, so maybe more space will open up in the middle for City to exploit rather than on the wings. City are still dominating, but they need to make Navas work. City are yet to make a substitution, and are only now bringing on Julian Alvarez. Terrible result for City who throw away three points and hand the momentum back to Arsenal in the title race. A bitterly disappointing afternoon and City will now have to dust themselves off ahead of facing RB Leipzig on Wednesday. Bernardo got the goal but Blues failed multiple times to extend their lead and were sucker-punched by Wood late on.

Manchester City 3 Arsenal 1- A huge moment in the title race. (Man City Square)

Manchester City were tearing cockneys apart again at the Emirates, home of Arsenal, where the blues secured all three points in a 1-3 win.

It’s a welcome sight as I feel Dias’ leadership is vital to Manchester City and what comes for the rest of the season. For me it’s no coincidence Manchester City have started to resemble themselves again with Dias leadership back in the starting 11. Jack has been outstanding of late, and it was great to see him rewarded with such a crucial goal. He didn’t give them a moment’s rest, and was unfortunate not to earn a penalty by being caught marginally offside in the build up in the 58th minute. City came to the Emirates knowing a win would be massive and could potentially shape the rest of the season. Bernardo did play on the edge, as he does when he’s at his best and was probably fortunate not to get booked earlier then he did.

Arsenal need a response against Aston Villa following Man City ... (Sky Sports)

Arsenal dropped off the Premier League summit with Wednesdays 3-1 loss to Man City at Emirates Stadium; defeat extended winless run to three games and left ...

Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Ivan Toney physically dominated them for Everton and Brentford, and the same was true of Erling Haaland on Wednesday night. Arsenal's total of 16 line-up changes is the lowest in the division. At the other, a collective wavering of concentration levels which is resulting in uncharacteristic defensive errors such as the ones that proved so costly against City. He is also capable of playing anywhere across the front line. His missed chances against City betrayed a dip in confidence and, more significantly, Arsenal's collective threat has gone the same way. Arsenal have dropped more points in three Premier League games than they did in the previous 19. Arteta spoke of the "marathon" that still lies ahead in his press conference on Wednesday night. Privately, though, he will accept the potentially huge significance of how Arsenal respond at Villa Park. Together, though, the results comprise a significant blip. In addition to their decreased productivity in attack, there has been a dramatic increase in the number and quality of chances they are giving up to their opponents at the other end of the pitch. "The most important thing is how we are tomorrow," said Mikel Arteta. Anything less would extend Arsenal's winless run to four Premier League games, causing alarm bells to ring louder.

Elsewhere, Brentford host out-of-sorts Crystal Palace, strugglers Bournemouth travel to Wolves looking for their first win in eight league excursions and two of this season’s surprise packages meet at the Amex Stadium, where Brighton take on Fulham. It was a big result for Sabri Lamouchi’s side, who move five points clear of the relegation zone, albeit having played two games more than each of the only four teams below them in the table. The offer comes with a promise to load no debt on the club and to redevelop the club’s infrastructure. In the second minute of added time, the Italian international fired a long-range effort off the cross-bar, only to see it bounce down and ricochet over the line off the beaten Emi Martinez’s head.
