Demonstrate, either in your materials or through an interview, how your unique skills as an artist are beneficial to the institution, and how they can contribute to your own professional growth. For instance, an introduction to the When crafting your application, recognize your skills as an artist and try to translate that to fit the internship requirements. Research if the institution shows a commitment to diversity, equity, accessibility and inclusion. Be open minded – sometimes institutions you wouldn’t have expected to be relevant to you will have a place for your expertise. Most importantly, there is a commitment from the museum to provide top-notch career opportunities for the interns. If the institution has a “Careers” or “Opportunities” section of their website that details an internship program for students, great! [The Frick Collection](https://www.frick.org/) is an art museum in New York City featuring a collection of primarily European paintings, sculptures, and decorative arts from the ninth to 19th centuries. Take advantage of your time as a student – because no matter the fine art discipline, internships can optimize your student experience and become a catalyst for future professional paths. And, as a student, your university may offer financial compensation for your internship so that you’re paid and the arts institution can accommodate you. It’s often a pause or anticipation in an artist’s career – an opportunity to grow or change directions.

In This Economy!??: Are Unpaid Internships Unethical? (The Carolinian)

Zavia Pittman Staff Writer I am currently sending my resume to anyone who will take it in hopes of getting an internship for my major.

Some people are willing to go without compensation to get a leg up in the industry, but that doesn’t mean they should. Regardless of the stereotypes of interns being lazy or glorified coffee machines, some people actually want to work hard and get some hands-on experience in a field they love. I want to clarify this by saying that I don’t want to make it seem like every business with an unpaid internship is inconsiderate. In some regards that may be true, but for the general public, compensation is just as important if not essential. The process usually goes something like this: I go on Linkedin or Handshake, and I see an internship that looks promising (which is few and far between if I’m being honest), but I decide to click on it. The process has been stressful (like most things dealing with college), and I’m hoping that one of these days I just don’t have to worry about it anymore.

"You can have female Presidents but you can't have female coaches in the Premier League. Speaking about the launch of the partnership, Skinner said "we are proud to be working alongside Female Coaching Network and Nike to deliver an invaluable learning experience for Danielle. Six of the last eight English league titles have been won by Chelsea who are coached by Emma Hayes, the 2021 winner of the title of The Best FIFA Women's Coach.
