After two back-to-back Women's Super League losses, Taylor's side have showcased resilience and character which may come from the leadership set-up.
โIt's the first time we've really done it in a proper fashion and I think it works well. And again, there are some real good options in that we don't choose [as management] We don't influence, we leave it to the players to pick. So I think that speaks volumes of where Esme is and for a young player - she's confident she's certainly a person who gets things done and leads in the right manner. โLaia Aleixandri as an example is almost like a captain without being the captain, her performances and the maturity for a young player have been very, very good. Now, it's really spread out in terms of the leadership and we're expecting everyone to bring their own identity to what we do. Obviously, she has quality, really good quality on the pitch and she's not afraid to stand up for what she thinks is right and thatโs a special quality to have.
