Nairobi Flooded: Governor's Measures Fail to Stop Heavy Rains Chaos

Nairobi's recent heavy rains cause chaos with flooding in various areas, leaving a trail of destruction.

Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has implemented measures in response to the heavy rains causing flooding in the city. The South C estate in Nairobi woke up to severe flooding after overnight rains. Distress calls flooded in as roads like Mombasa Road and Raila Odinga Road were marooned. Tragically, one person was killed by the floods, and a child is currently missing in Nairobi.

Amid the chaos, Kilimani residents were evacuated as houses and cars were submerged due to the floods. Machakos Governor Ndeti called for emergency disaster response backup following displacement in Syokimau and Kinanie. Several estates in Nairobi faced serious floods, with roads blocked and devastation evident.
